Quick shortlist — providers & what they offer for SSH access

  1. Kinsta — SSH included on all managed WordPress plans (you get shell access, WP-CLI, Composer, etc.). Great managed WP option if you want SSH and expert support. Kinsta
  2. Cloudways — Managed cloud hosting (you choose the underlying provider: DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS, GCE). SSH/SFTP available on all server types; application users can be granted SSH; master users have SSH by default. Good middle ground for managed services + full SSH. Cloudways Help Center
  3. WP Engine — Offers an SSH Gateway (SSH key authentication; access via SSH gateway/SSH keys; WP-CLI support).
